
PHENIX CITY NATIVE CAPPS IS FIRST MONSTERS SIGNING
COLUMBUS, GA - Phenix City, Alabama native Brody Capps becomes the first official player signed to the Chattahoochee Monsters roster for the 2023 season.
Capps just completed his freshman campaign for Wallace Dothan Community College where he appeared in 41 games, hitting .313 with 2 HRs and 22 RBIs. The 6-3, 200-pound utility infielder and outfielder was part of the Wallace-Dothan team that captured the 2023 Visit Panama City Beach College Baseball Classic.
He is the first player signed to the Monsters roster for the 2023 SunBelt Baseball League season. Chattahoochee plays exhibition games May 27 and 31 against the Columbus Chatt-a-Hoots at Golden Park to prepare for the regular season, with the team’s home opener slated for Friday, June 9 and Saturday, June 10 against the Chatt-a-Hoots at 7:05 pm.
