COLUMBUS, GA - The Chattahoochee Monsters snapped a six-game losing streak with a walk-off home run in game one of a doubleheader before dropping game two Sunday against the Waleska Wild Things.

Chase Evans hit a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh inning of game one to give the Monsters a 4-3 win. Brayden Pelkey drove in the other three runs for the Monsters, going 2-for-2 in the game.

Dawson Fuller picked up the win with an inning of scoreless work.

In game two the Wild Things had to come from behind, trailing heading into the seventh inning 6-4. But they would score seven runs to take the lead for good, and then shut down the Monsters offense for the victory. Eli Watson led the way, going 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs.

The Monsters are now 9-11 on the season and face off with the Alpharetta Aviators Monday and Wednesday night on the road. The next Monsters home game will be Sunday, July 16 when Chattahoochee hosts the Atlanta Blues in a doubleheader starting at 2:05 pm.
