MONSTERS SPLIT DOUBLEHEADER WITH AVIATORS

COLUMBUS, GA - The Chattahoochee Monsters split a Father’s Day doubleheader with the Alpharetta Aviators, winning the first game 7-1 and losing the second game 9-2.


Brayden Pelkey led the way with a pair of RBIs in the Monsters win and Jaxon Yoxtheimer went 2-for-3 with a single and a double with an RBI. Ashton Faulk earned the win with three innings of work, allowing one earned run with three strikeouts and one walk.


In game two, the Aviators opened with four runs in the first and second innings to cruise to the win over the Monsters. Jacob Thompson earned the win for the Aviators with five strong innings of work, allowing five hits and two earned runs with one walk and two strikeouts.


Chattahoochee now takes to the road for a pair of games against the Gainesville Gol’Diggers on Monday and Wednesday night. Coverage of both games is provided through the SunBelt Baseball League website.
