
MONSTERS IMPROVE TO 2-0 WITH WEEKEND SWEEP
BROOKHAVEN, GA - The Chattahoochee Monsters improved to 2-0 on the season after a convincing 9-4 over the Brookhaven Bucks (0-2) on Saturday night.
Leading 2-1 heading into the fourth inning, the Monsters blew the game open with a five-run inning. Justin Veloz had a
two-run single to center while Zion Morris and Johnathan Williams each added RBI singles as well.
Corey Berry finished the game with three RBIs to lead the offense. Bryn Peacock picked up the win in five innings of work, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out one and walking one.
Chattahoochee is back in action on Monday night at the Waleska Wild Things. First pitch is slated for 7:05 pm. The Monsters home opener will be at Golden Park on Friday, June 9 against the Columbus Chatt-a-Hoots at 7:05 pm.
