MONSTERS DROP MAKEUP AT BLUES 7-2
The Chattahoochee Monsters fell behind early and couldn't make up the difference in a 7-2 loss at the Atlanta Blues on Tuesday night.
The Blues scored five runs across the first three innings to take an early lead and had tacked on two more by the time the Monsters were able to score twice in the top of the eighth inning. Jay Kehoe scored on a wild pitch and Jaxon Yoxtheimer brought home Warrick Wilmot on a fielder's choice for the only Monsters RBI.
Bryn Peacock took the loss for Chattahoochee, going two innings and allowing four hits, three earned runs, three walks and two strikeouts.
The Monsters are back in action Sunday, July 2 when they host the Brookhaven Bucks in a doubleheader starting at 2:05 pm. Tickets for all remaining Monsters home games are now on sale through the team website at MonstersBB.com.
