COLUMBUS, GA - The Chattahoochee Monsters lost both games of a Sunday doubleheader to the Brookhaven Bucks at Golden Park by scores of 3-2 and 4-0.

Both games saw the Monsters fail to generate offense until the seventh inning each time. In Game One the rally fell short as the Bucks were able to shut down the rally by bringing in closer Logan Lynch to nail down the final two outs. Zach Lear earned the win for Brookhaven with six innings of one-hit baseball.

In the second game, things were more interesting until severe weather forced the end of the game. Heading into the seventh inning, the Monsters trailed 4-0 and in the top half of the inning the Bucks added two more runs to make it 6-0. Then the Monsters began a rally, scoring three runs on four hits with no outs before the weather hit Golden Park. Because the game was called while the Monsters were still batting, the score reverts to the last complete inning (4-0 after six) and officially, the Monsters did not record a hit in the game.

The Monsters are back in action Monday night July 3 as they take on the Columbus Chatt-a-Hoots at 7:05 pm at Golden Park. Tickets are on sale now through the team website and by calling (706) 507-4625.
