DECATUR, GA - The Chattahoochee Monsters got back on track with a 5-4 road win over the Atlanta Blues on Monday night.

Trailing 2-1 heading into the top of the sixth, the Monsters plated three runs highlighted by Brody Capps’ RBI double to center and his subsequent steal of home for the final run of the inning.

The Monsters offense would need to come through once more in the eighth as Capps would lift a sacrifice fly to center, scoring Justin Veloz for the eventual game-winning run.

Benjamin Stubbs was credited with the win for the Monsters going two innings, allowing two earned runs, two hits, walking two and striking out three. Justin Veloz earned the save in his second appearance of the season with no runs and no hits allowed with one walk.

The same two teams are at it again on Wednesday night with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 pm.
