Monsters Add Hurler from West Alabama

OXFORD, AL – The Choccolocco Monsters added a key piece to their pitching staff this past week with the signing of Austin Goode.

Goode, a senior right-handed pitcher from Alexandria, Alabama, joins the Monsters roster after stints with Snead State Community College (NJCAA) and Jacksonville State University (NCAA Division I). This past season Goode transferred to the University of West Alabama (NCAA Division II) where he made 16 appearances, logging 19.2 innings pitched out of the pen for the Tigers.

The Alexandria High School graduate was named Defensive Player of the Year for his senior season in 2017. Goode also earned First Team All-County honors that same season.

Goode is just one of many talented arms headed to Oxford this summer to play for the Monsters. Stay tuned for more player releases as the 2022 inaugural season inches closer.
