GOL'DIGGERS OUTLAST MONSTERS 11-10 IN SLUGFEST

GAINESVILLE, GA - The Gainesville Gol'Diggers managed to outlast the Chattahoochee Monsters 11-10 in an offensive slugfest on Thursday night.

Leading 1-0 going into the bottom of the second inning, the Monsters gave up four runs but then tied the game 4-4 with three more in the top of the fourth. From there the back-and-forth was constant as the two teams continued to add to their totals. After Chattahoochee scored three runs in the top of the eighth to go ahead 10-8, the Gol'Diggers came back with three of their own to retake the lead for good.

Brooks Parkerson, Jonathan Williams and Noah Jones all hit home runs for the Monsters in the game. Williams finished 2-for-3 on the night with three RBIs and three runs scored with a walk.

The Monsters are back in action this Sunday afternoon with a doubleheader at Historic Golden Park against the Brookhaven Bucks starting at 2:05 pm. Tickets are on sale now through the team website at MonstersBB.com.
